Hey world! I’m blogging! Like, honest to you know what, I actually did it! Gosh, I’m so excited and scared. That’s right…scared!!! Clearly, only family and friends are going to see this. And you all see me posting stuff on social media all the time. But this is finally me being on the “internet webs” with my own stuff, craziness, (you know) life! Don’t you think that is scary? Maybe I’m just a little over-the-top excited…and a little scared.
Anyway, you can read about how I got here on the “About” link on my menu bar. But since the only people reading this are friends and family, you already know all about how I got here. It’s not like I’m launching a major conglomerate. My goals are small and hopefully achievable. I just want to share with the people I love. Share the joys of life and food and hear back from all of you on your joys of life and food. Simple, right?
If you are reading this close to the date that I posted it, I thank you dearly for being an interested Lori person. If you are reading this not so close to the date when I posted it, I thank you for taking the time out of your day, through no obligation of love and loyalty, to poke through my website, visit, and see what I’m about.
At the end of the day, we only have each other, sustenance, and dreams. So many people have spoken and blogged about “live, love and cook.” Even though it may be a bit cliche-ish, it really describes my life after marriage and children. I may sometimes stumble in one of those areas (in the interest of full disclosure), but I’m always striving to reach the next level. And I want do to it with you. Please join my journey by sharing comments and helping me keep it connected, sincere, and loving.
Also, please bear with me. I have acquired some skills to start this, but fully admit to not being a subject-matter-expert at this time. However, I am committed to improving my technical skills in this blogging arena. Meanwhile, I beg for your tolerance and patience until I get there.
All my love,
lk
Congrats, Lori!!! Looks like two of us are recovering from corporate careers by doing what we love! I’m so glad we met at WFM. Good luck with your blogging! I have been blogging for 3 years and love it…even though I don’t do it regularly enough!
Thanks, Tiffani! You were one of my inspirations. 🙂
At last, a public forum for the world to see your creations! Thrilled (and hungry) to see it.
And it may quickly become “friends of friends” who see it… No pressure 😉
Loving it!
Thank you, Z!
Way to go sis! Mom would be so proud!
Folks, let me tell you a little something about little sister Lori. As a child and teenager she was a tomboy with absolutely no interest or talent for the culinary arts. Our Mom even used to joke saying that Lori could manage to burn water while trying to boil… Yes, she was THAT bad!
Steve IMHO is a real trooper and must have been almost a martyr for the first few years of their marriage. But then something amazing happened: little sis realized she actually enjoyed cooking and my oh my what wonderful things were born from this realization!
I had an early interest in cooking and turned out to be a relatively good one, thanks to the teachings and guidance of our Mom. But that’s it, really because cooking for me is a chore. Lori eventually fell in love with it and just took off from there, becoming an artist in the craft. Kudos!
Not only have her immediate family profited, from this journey but if you think about it, the world at large. Lori is living proof that you can become amazingly good at something that you love. She’s an inspiration to us all.
Love ya sis, keep it up!
Aw…Thanks, Karen. Hope your Swedish summer is treating you well. I miss you!
